What is CNC lathe machining?
CNC turning milling composite machining or CNC turning milling composite machining can be referred to as milling turning composite machining or milling turning composite machining.
A turning milling composite machining center is equivalent to a combination of a CNC lathe and a machining center.
The turning milling composite machine tool is the fastest developing and most widely used CNC equipment in composite machining machine tools. The purpose of compounding is to make the machine tool versatile, capable of completing multiple tasks with just one clamping, and to improve machining efficiency and accuracy.
Compared with conventional CNC machining technology, the outstanding advantages of composite machining are mainly manifested in the following aspects.
(1) Shorten the product manufacturing process chain and improve production efficiency. Car milling composite machining can complete all or most of the machining processes in one go. This greatly shortens the product manufacturing process chain. This can reduce the production assistance time caused by replacing installation cards. And the manufacturing cycle and waiting time of the fixtures will also be reduced. Therefore, it can significantly improve production efficiency.
(2) Reduce clamping frequency and improve machining accuracy. The reduction in the number of card installations avoids the accumulation of errors caused by the conversion of positioning benchmarks. At the same time, most of the milling and turning composite processing equipment has online detection function, which can achieve in-situ detection and precise control of key data in the manufacturing process. Thereby improving the processing accuracy of the product.
(3) Reduce land occupation and production costs. Although the price of single car milling and composite processing equipment is relatively high, it can effectively reduce the comprehensive fixed asset costs such as investment, production and operation, and management. Because it will shorten the manufacturing process chain, reduce the equipment required for the product, as well as the number of fixtures, workshop area, and equipment maintenance costs.
Characteristics of turning milling composite machining
1. The milling and turning composite machining center adopts high-precision built-in spindle;
2. A freely movable operation panel to improve work efficiency;
3. The model is mainly used for large-scale production of various small and complex parts for high-speed and diversified processing;
4. The slender and complex process can be processed in one go, and an automatic feeding device can be configured to improve efficiency;
5. Common materials: copper, iron, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, PTFE and other materials.
The following lists the differences between milling machines and machining centers.
1. The milling and turning composite machining center is a machine tool that can perform turning and milling machining with B-axis linkage and C-axis linkage. All or most of the machining of a part can be completed on a milling lathe. So it is also known as a small-scale production line. Not only can it improve the accuracy and efficiency of product processing, but it can also greatly save machine tool area for enterprises. In the past, the machining of a single component required completion on multiple machine tools. Now, all processing can be completed with just one machine. This type of machine tool can be divided into vertical turning and milling composite machine tools and horizontal turning and milling composite machine tools.
2. A five axis machining center can only perform milling machining and cannot perform turning machining. Therefore, five axis machining has many limitations in processing. Milling and turning composite machining can cover the machining of five axis machining centers, but five axes cannot be used for milling and turning composite machining.
